INTERACTIVE GALLERY: INTIMATE (LAND) SCAPES

Intimate Scapes is an inter-club competition specifically for images that don’t fit the conventional idea of a landscape.

Tonight’s meeting is a chance to bring along images for discussion and informal critique that you feel might fit this genre. Amanda Wright will be on hand to give advice and guidance. The actual competition will be held on 21st March via Zoom and is organised by Tring Camera Club, who write:

The inspiration to run this competition came from two sources - when we ran competitions on the Landscape genre, we noticed that some of our members often submitted images, that were 'Intimate Scapes' rather than 'wide open' scapes - and many were really good.

At the same time some of more experienced photographers were enjoying exploring the genre of Intimate Scapes with some success. We also noticed the interest in the Close Up photographer of the Year Competition that includes a specific category of 'Intimate Scapes'

So we decided to create a competition to celebrate this genre. This has been met with great enthusiasm by clubs across the Chiltern Association of Camera Clubs.
