TALK | Benjamin Graham "Learning to see creatively"

EHHPS is delighted to welcome back Benjamin to the club to talk about his year as Landscape Photographer of the Year 2017, and reflect on both his year as LPOTY and share  images from some of his commissions ranging from electricity pylons to tube stations.

Ben says "...come drizzle, depression or drama, I see it as my task to endeavour to make something of all light and of every scenic opening that presents itself to me, to spot prospects and to try and use all conditions to my advantage....[and] once I am established on location and I identify the textures, tones and patterns that I have to work with, pre-visualisation becomes a major part of the process.   I try not to be formulaic and I make a point of regularly venturing outside my comfort zone, exploring new ideas, unexpected situations and different settings."

Ben's work regularly appears in major newspapers, magazines and online editorial galleries and he has had images published in numerous countries, including the US, Italy, France, Ireland, Spain, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Russia, Australia and China.
