This trophy is awarded to someone outside of the committee for special service to the Club, the recipient being decided by the previous three winers.

This year's winner is Rajan Adhikari.  Rajan, who has already made his mark on EHHPS by throwing himself into club activities, and winning this year's Panel of Prints competition was given the award for his ever present willingness to help in any way possible.

Out with the Old - In with the New

Make the evening go with a Fizz

The meeting of EHHPS which takes place on Thursday 7th June marks the end of an era - our last in the Town Hall, at least for the foreseeable future - before we start the new season in September at the Brentham Club.  It also marks the end of one Presidency, and the beginning of another, as a new committee is elected at the AGM.

After the AGM - Prizes, as the winners of the aggregate competitions, and the Switch Trophy are announced.

To mark the occasion, the committee has decided to add a little Sparkle (and Nibbles) to the half-time refreshments so do come along and make this an occasion to remember.

CACC Course: Judging and interpreting in Photography

Following on from Amanda Wright's highly successful session 'Through the Judge's Eye' we have now received details from the CACC of their one day course.  CACC Chair Mark Buckley-Sharp writes:

"CACC exists to do things which each club would find difficult on its own. High in our priorities is recruitment and training of judges and speakers. Usually each year we run judge training with a pair of workshops for those who have volunteered. We are now extending that to offer a free workshop for anyone who might be interested in becoming a judge or indeed anyone interested in how the 'judging' process works.

This workshop is free, although we do require advance bookings and participants need to bring their own lunch. The timescale is short, as the workshop is on Sunday 3rd June (three weeks) at Amersham."
Further details below - those interested are encouraged to book as soon as possible.

The Ron Wake Competition

From Amanda Wright:

The Ron Wake was held in Harrow on Tuesday evening and was judged by Colin Harrison.
Seven clubs entered 7 images from which he had to select 20. EHHPS didn’t fare quite as well as we have done in recent years with only two selected from our seven.

They were:

Going Gaga by Shaun Hodge
Mauricia by Paul Mason

Congratulations to both and fingers crossed for the final, which is in September.

Dennis Durack Achieves International Success

Congratulations to Dennis Durack whose image "Dancing to Violin" won him an award from the International Salon Portrait Circuit of Serbia, Bulgaria, Israel and Austria. The award was "PORTRAIT CIRCUIT 2018, Israel, PEOPLE AND STREET - (color or monochrome), Dancing to Violin, 24 / 19, ICS praise 2, A"

Dennis hopes others may be encouraged to enter such competitions.
