NWFed Round 1: Amanda Wright's Report and Results

This event was recorded, and EHHPS members will receive a link to the recording in the Newsletter published on 14 November, so if you don’t wish to see the result yet, click away now…

On Thursday evening (11 November) EHHPS competed in this season's first round of the NWFed with Harrow Camera club and hosts Park Street. Our judge for the evening was Colin Southgate who has often been kind in the past to our creative photographic style, however this time it seems sadly we were no match for the other two teams.

Usually this competition comprises a Print section and a PDI section, however in these Covid times the whole event is PDI but still run in two sections with each club submitting 6 images in each section in this 1st round.

The first section was 'prints' and EHHPS had a shockingly poor result scoring 2 x 15's, a 16 and 3 x 17's (97 total) I can't remember the last time our highest score was a 17!

Our top scorers however were:

Shaun Hodge with Evie,
Sally Mason with Shard at Sunset
Amanda Wright with Startling Starling.

The PDI section picked up a little with a 16, a 17, 3 x 18's and a 20* sadly though not high enough scores and once again we came last out of the three clubs.

Our top scorers in this section, with 18 were :

Pyramid Pointe by Paul Mason
Tasty by Shaun Hodge
Your Move also by Paul Mason.

John Alexander did extremely well scoring 20 and achieving one of the two stars awarded with his fabulous wildebeest migration image Leap of Faith.

Total Scores then were

1st Park Street (217)
2nd Harrow (209)
3rd EHHPS (204)

Round 2 is being hosted by EHHPS on 25th November when our judge will be Lloyd Moore, fingers crossed.
