On Wednesday 12th May, EHHPS met Highcliffe & Infinity in a match over Zoom. This is the report from External Competition Secretary, Amanda Wright.

So once again Covid 19 put paid to a much loved and missed trip down to the New Forest for our annual derby with Highcliffe and Infinity, although Chairman Clive told us we were better off not having made the trip down as the weather had been atrocious, it was far better being in sunny London, haha!

Our judge for the evening was Maria Leekblade who had a lovely demeanour finding something positive in every image but also giving good critique where required to all 40 entries and she obviously had impeccable taste as EHHPS won with a final score of 173 to EHHPS and 162 to Highcliffe and Infinity.

They score out of 10 down South which is always an initial shock and scores on the night ranged from 6.5 - 10

Maria held back 10 images with 8 being ours, always a good sign and we were awarded:

Seven 9’s

One 9.5: No Tissue, No Problem by Karina Limburg

and three 10’s:

Arctic Fox by Karina Limburg
Queen of Spades by Mike Lloyd
Waiting by Paul Mason

Arctic Fox was awarded 1st Place

Queen of Spades 2nd

Lone Windmill by Highcliffe was 3rd

Hopefully we will get to return in person next year and we finally have control over this pesky pandemic..
